Founded in 2012 by Heather Schmidt and Josh Danoff in a shared kitchen on the outskirts of Union Square, Somerville, Union Square Donuts quickly became one of Boston's most celebrated donut shops. Their maple bacon donut won best unique dough donut in America on the Food Network. Known for creative, seasonal flavors using high-quality ingredients, they've grown to multiple locations while maintaining their artisanal approach. Their full coffee program complements the donut offerings, and they consistently set trends — like hopping on the Dubai chocolate craze with a brioche bar featuring pistachio filling and kataifi pastry.
