Opened in Medford Square in 1984 by a husband-and-wife duo, Donuts with a Difference has been living up to its name for over 40 years. The 'difference' is quality — you can taste it in everything from the satisfying honey-dipped spheres to the extra-large butter-crunch-topped coffee rolls that are the signature must-order. Winner of Best of Boston 2014 from Boston Magazine, this old-fashioned shop maintains the traditional craft of donut-making in an era of shortcuts.
