Founded in 2000 by James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Joanne Chang, Flour Bakery + Cafe has become a Boston culinary institution with nine locations across Boston and Cambridge. Chang, who left a career in management consulting to pursue her passion for baking, won the James Beard Outstanding Baker award in 2016 after five consecutive years as a finalist. While Flour is known for its entire bakery and cafe menu, their doughnuts and sticky buns are standouts — brioche-based with seasonal flavors, made with organic and high-quality ingredients.
