Mr. D's stands out with a from-scratch approach that extends to using honey in their glaze and cooking fresh apples in apple cider for their fritters. The shop makes its own chocolate with European cocoa powder and isn't afraid to experiment with flavors like salted caramel chai and fluffernutter. A proud member of Yelp's Top 100 Donut Shops in the US, Mr. D's also founded DonutCon, an annual August event celebrating artists and businesses in the KC area. Their collaboration cannoli donuts with Jasper's Italian Restaurant are a limited-edition highlight.
